What is functional fitness and is it for me?
TeamTaurus’ classes include high-intensity interval training that is made up of functional movements to build stamina, strength, and speed. We emphasise cross-training movements from sports including gymnastics, powerlifting, and rowing. Each workout differs, with the aim of strengthening a different part of the body. It is ultimately building a body that’s capable of almost anything and absolutely, it is for everyone!

Do i have to be fit to start?
Anyone can start their fitness journey at Taurus Fitness, no matter what fitness level. You may find it hard at first, however, our amazing TeamTaurus trainers will help you scale movements to your ability. With consistency and hard work, you will see improvements in your fitness and strength over time.
Which class day/time Should i book to trial?
Any day is a good day. Any time is a good time! Every class is great for receiving individual coaching, being immersed in an awesome atmosphere, high energy, and an environment for learning. Larger classes have more people to learn from. We suggest trialing a range of class days and times if you can, but ultimately it doesn't matter too much as the content is still the same and the coaching is still high quality!
What should i wear or bring to a session?
There is no particular dress code, but due to the high-intensity workout nature, you will want to wear breathable and unrestrictive clothing that allows you to move freely.
For shoes, you don’t necessarily need a specific type, however a shoe with a flatter and firmer sole is best to give you better stability when performing lifts.
Bring a drink bottle. You are able to refill your bottle on-site if needed.
Bring your own sweat towel. We do not have these available for hire or purchase unfortuantely.
Do you have shower facilities?
Sure do! We have a unisex shower available for use on-site.
How soon Can I to book into and attend classes after signing up?
Immediately! Once you sign-up, we will send you an invite to use our online system, Influx. Here you will be able to view the class workouts, book into classes, and record your results.
